They didn't expect to hold Lyta indefinitely. I...don't recall seeing a straitjacket. You sure?

    TMoS casting guessing game

Assuming you're right about the Teep War: Boxleitner - it ain't B5 without him Doyle - just try and keep him out! Furlan, Katsulas & Jurasik - can't see B5 without them, but can't see that Delenn would have much to do with the telepath war. Imagine they'd have small parts (a crying shame and...

A new JMS message and hint 4/29

Exactly right, in my (expert and irrefutable) opinion.

A new JMS message and hint 4/29

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. You're not right and you're not wrong. That's in the nature of opinions. However, what is needed now is cheerleading, not nitpickery. I myself didn't care for TKO, Grail, Grey 17, Thirdspace or River of Souls. But I bought (or will buy, in the case...

    Question for Stargate fans

Any idea why Dr. Frazier left the show? Small part, sure, but the money was steady. There goes my fondest hope of a Frazier/Carter love scene!

    G'Kar...Afraid?

Re: G\'Kar...Afraid? I certainly think G'Kar feels fear. Bravery isn't even possible if one is immune to fear. G'Kar acts in spite of his fears. And he often speaks of his fears, though those fears are usually for others. I had a different take on Day of the Dead, however. I believe that...

Re: It\'s (semi)Official: Babylon 5 FEATURE FILM! Okay, I'll use the bathroom. I'll have to get a TV set for the bathroom... (I was recently in a hotel with a TV set facing the toilet in the bathroom. There was a telephone in there, too. Buddy, if you have that little free time, you might...

    It's (semi)Official: Babylon 5 FEATURE FILM!

Re: It\'s (semi)Official: Babylon 5 FEATURE FILM! Hallelujah! The best TV science fiction show ever gets a movie! And, please God, a new run as a series? I must now go celebrate by watching all the DVD's back to back. Let's see. (110 episodes x 44 minutes) + (4 TV movies x 88 minutes) +...

    DVD Actor Commentaries

Very true. And true in other things. All business meetings begin to lose utility in direct proportion to the number of people at the meeting. I try never to attend a meeting with more than three people present. A party, sure. But not anyplace where I expect to get work done.

    DVD Actor Commentaries

From the sound of it, there wasn't much effort for most of the cast commentators, and the time added up to little more than the 44-minute running time plus the drive to the studio. Still, I agree that they should have been remunerated. Bagles and coffee, at least. :)

    DVD Actor Commentaries

"Cute fun". Yeah, that's about right. But I have to say that I enjoy them more than the JMS commentaries. For such a great writer and producer, he doesn't seem overly warm or kind. He revels too much in his own victories without giving others (cast and crew) enough credit, in my opinion.

    DVD Actor Commentaries

I really enjoy hearing the actor commentaries on the DVD, but I wonder if Bruce Boxleitner is the only one who actually watches the episodes before commenting on them. No one else seems to know what's going on (or care). It's pretty clear that Boxleitner does understand the storyline well...

    The merits of Byron

You've got to be kidding! Those pretty boys had perfect hair (at least the guys). They must've spent hours every day with conditioner and blow-dryers. That's the real reason they had to come together at Babylon 5 - they needed to buy more product.

    Sheridan and Oranges

We know from JMS that despite "the Hour of Scampering", the Vorlons do not scamper well. I suspect they would also have difficulty with the infield fly rule. Their ability to fly, would, however, give them an advantage in seizing long drives that would otherwise go into the stands. I think...

    Still lovin' it

Re: Still lovin\' it I just finished watching Season 5 on DVD and I agree. The Byron episodes were just not as good as they should have been, but overall the season and series are wonderfully watchable. I remember choking up when I first watched the fate of the station in "Sleeping in the...

    The merits of Byron

Byron's purpose was simply to give Lyta a purpose. JMS set Byron up as yet another Christ-figure (along with Sheridan and Sinclair and probably a few others). It's a good thing that at least one of them wasn't sympathetic. That said, I found him annoying and illogical, too. Give me Bester...
