I've never had a problem purchasing books and DVDs from amazon.com. The good thing about pre-ordering from amazon or most online retailers is that you get the discount and you get the merchandise on the exact release date, sometimes even before. ;)

There is a way to put non-standard symbols in posts/web pages, using HTML 4.0 entities or Unicode. The only problem is that currently only Office XP carries a full Unicode font. Entities are generally safe to use however. I made a posting utility for another forum that makes inserting entities...

Re:1. This sort of happened in "In the Beginning". A Minbari fighter lured Earth ships into a trap and a Minbari warcruiser opened a jumpgate inside their formation, destroying some of the ships. They said at the time that the Minbari jump engines were more precise than theirs (Earth's).
