    What are you watching now?

Oz was good. I enjoyed it. It had its moments where I went wtf? It's amazing how many actors from Oz appear on some incarnation of Law and Order.

    What are you watching now?

I'm on season 3 of Medium and started Volume 2 of Young Indiana Jones. And I think I might watch Trailer Park Boys. I've had several coworkers recommend that one to me over the past few months.

    Your Favourite TV Show Intro?

What about Growing Pains and Who's the Boss? Come on, who doesn't sing along with those whenever they are on? :) And of course, The Facts of Life... You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have The facts of life, the facts of life. There’s a time you got to go...

    Pseudo-Science In Some Sci-Fi Shows

I've always classified that one as a comedy as well. In the original version of the script I think the time machine was a refrigerator but they decided not to do that because they didn't want kids climbing into those things after seen the film.

Who looms large in scif and fantasy,in movies, televsion and literature.

I've read a few of Lovecraft's books. I enjoyed every one but I must admit that sometimes I had to re-read passages to understand what he was talking about. Perhaps it was his style or the times, but he would write pages long paragraphs that were hard to follow. And I'm not sure what you mean...

    Indiana Jones Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

I kinda liked the movie just because it was Indiana Jones however I do think it was the worst of the 4. The first 3 each started with some rousing adventure and this one felt kind of flat. For a minute there I thought I was watching some sort of political thriller instead of an Indy movie. To...

Scif and fantasy's funniest moments some intentionall and some not

Or my other favorite quote from Star Trek IV, after Chekov is captured on the Enterprise and is being interrogated.... 1st Guy, "He's a Rooski." 2nd Guy, "I know he's a Rooski but he must be retarded or something." GKE got to it before I did, but I was also going to mention Galaxy Quest. It's...

    New BattleStar Galactica

And didn't Anne Lockheart, who played Sheba in the orignal BSG make a guest appearance on Buck Rogers as a love interest? I had such a crush on her and Erin Grey

    New BattleStar Galactica

Its funny cuz 3 out of 4 on that list have or will be re-made. I just read yesterday: I really enjoyed the first season of Buck Rogers. The second season I could live without but there were a few interesting episodes. The novelization of the 2 hour original tv pilot was much more dark and...

    Galactica Season 4 (Spoilers Within)

I think he came up with it towards the end of Season 2. He said in a part of an interview when asked about when he decided to make four characters Cylons For some reason I don't really find myself caring who or what is the final Cylon. I mean it will be cool to see who it is but frankly I...

Babylon 5 influenced Ds9, is Ron Moore the New JMS of this decade

I guess we have to look at success from our own viewpoints. To me Jeremiah was a "success" because I enjoyed the show very much. But from a commercial success stand point it probably wasn't very good. And to me when I think of SF, truthfully the first things that pop into my head iare not...

Babylon 5 influenced Ds9, is Ron Moore the New JMS of this decade

I have to agree, I do not put Moore into the same class as JMS, regardless of how many awards he has won. I could be wrong but I don't think Moore has created anything entirely original; he has been consulting producer on a few shows and staff writer and helped those shows by penning some good...

    Charlie Jade

I watched a few episodes of that show about 3 years ago I think? I ended up with the first season and I think I might still have it somewhere. I do remember liking the concept of the show. I might have to break it out again if I can find it.

    What are you watching now?

I havent seen it in the theater but i read the book sometime last year and it was great. I think the preview of the movie gave away the "secret" of the book. Reading the book reminded me of the old Stephen King short story "The Raft". I'm not sure I'm going to watch it or not. I may wait...

    What are you watching now?

I enjoyed DS9 for the most part. I liked Kira at the beginning with her Starfleet bashing. It was always hard for me to picture Sisko as anyone other than Hawk, always kind of whispering, "Spensah!"
