    EpDis: Rising Star

I always skip this episode. Try going straight from 'Endgame' to 'Deconstruction of Fallen Stars' and you'll see what I mean. The formation of the alliance is implied while retaining an element of mystique about the whole thing. Some things are best left unshown.

    Watching Babylon 5 in 2015

I re-watched last year but I don't have the time to watch every episode so I selected those that had arc significance which ended up being 70 episodes with only a few story gaps. I also watched In The Beginning first and skipped The Gathering. I also ended the series with Fall Of Centauri Prime...

    Which storylines disappointed the most?

While the overall story arc of B5 was well done given the constraints of studio, budget, and actors coming/going I found a few storylines disappointing: 1) No 1 beef of all time - The Telepath War. There was none! This despite numerous hints that there was one coming. All we got was 'Jim Jones'...

In the episode where talia gets deleted..

Maybe JMS was pissed that Andrea Thompson (Talia) was leaving the show!! Seriously though I agree that the command staff didn't even consider the consequences of the 'victim's' personality being erased. I do believe that there was a story arc involved where Talia's personality would be restored...

I Have A New WORST B5 Episode, and it is....

Born To The Purple was quite good - Trakis was an interesting character and Londo's love for Adira would be important for later plot development.

    How would you reboot B5?

NO to focusing on the Rangers (remember TLOTR?) NO to retelling the same story (the beauty of B5 was not knowing what was coming) NO to Technomages (not relevant enough) NO to continuing Crusade (boring story which is why it failed) NO to original actors playing different roles (It wouldn't be...

I Have A New WORST B5 Episode, and it is....

Certainly 'Survivors' has the worst acting performance by the stiff and wooden Major Kemmer. Also the Zarg ruined "Grey 17 Is Missing' despite some interesting arc points. 'A View From The Gallery' is a season filler episode for sure, while 'The Geometry of Shadows' has the silly sub-plot of...

    The David Sheridan Incident/Lost Episode

Would have made a good tv movie instead of the silly plots that wasted the opportunity to tie up loose ends.

    The Aborted Reboot

I would see a re-boot as a whole new series separate from the original that could be re-viewed as a stand alone. There were many "what-ifs" that I asked myself during the original show that would be good to see on-screen (not to mention with modern cgi). We also have to face the fact that the...

    Telepath War

Why did JMS tease us all series long about the telepath war and then not devote any episodes to it? Or a movie? It would have added more to the story than what Thirdspace or River Of Souls did. In fact, apart from In The Beginning, I have tried to jettison the 'movies' from my B5 consciousness...

    Select Remastering

B5 is no longer for sale in Australian shops so hopefully a re-release will have extras and updated sfx. The show was popular here so it's disappointing that it seems to have vanished from sci-fi ( i will NEVER spell it syfy!) consciousness.

    The Aborted Reboot

How about 3-4 short 10 episode series to fill in the gaps in the story line that the movies so horribly failed to do? New characters could be introduced with cameos from the original cast (those that are still alive) without re-booting/decannonizing(!). One series could be on the Telepath War...

    Select Remastering

I don't think a blu ray release is necessary or will happen. A good idea would be to re-do the sfx on a new dvd release as they don't fit the widescreen well.

    Season 1 hump....

Having seen the series the mystery of Sinclair's missing memory doesn't really apply when rewatching the show so I start with IN THE BEGINNING then go straight on to MIDNIGHT ON THE FIRING LINE. THE GATHERING is not necessary, contains non-returning characters, has poor sfx and make-up and is...

    Aborted Reboot

I liked the Byron storyline except, as mentioned, the quality of acting by some of the telepath extras. The tension was there between those who wanted a violent revolution and those that wanted a peaceful one, a very common scenario thru history. The only thing I didn't get was Sheridan's...

    Worst Acting Performance

One of the few things that disappointed me about B5 was the quality of acting by some of the minor or one time characters. I guess they only had the money to pay the main cast! Who do you think was the worst? For me it was Elaine Thomas who played Lianna Kemmer in Survivors. Even Jerry Doyle...

Babylon 5: Ten Lost Tales that Sholud Be Found

I don't live in the US so not sure how HBO works but they seem to make good quality shows and reduce the cost by making only 10 episode seasons. Game of Thrones probably uses as much SFX as a new series of B5 would.

    Aborted Reboot

The books were more about Bester's fate than the Psi Corps. The war itself was not really covered and could sustain a series if blended with other elements.

    Fan Films

JMS surely took inspiration from other people's work. The Psi Corps seems pretty similar to Philip K Dick's Teep Corps from his 1955 book Solar Lottery. Is that plagiarism?
