That's a good point. It may have simply been inconceivable that such alliances were even possible. And the younger races couldn't have succeeded without an ace up their sleeve, working with The First One.

I'd definitely second that suggestion, that you go ahead and try rematching Season 5. It's definitely filled with stories taking a different turn and problems becoming more subtle. It wraps up so many individual arcs, at least as far as they related to Babylon 5, that I can't real imagining...
