It will be how the Hardcore trekies react to the actual film. They have not exactly been enthused with the Abrams Film. Me ? I look forward to a really good sc fi film. I like the casting and I like the look of the bridge. It looks like he did capture the feel of trek .:)

I like the look of the ship and the uniforms, The plot sounds hardly original, but I think it will end up being a pretty good film, I do have faith in Abrams. Besides there are no other trek related projects on the horizon, at least none that i have heard about, :cool:

Stargate Sg1 was a decent scif action show, which started to go down hill after season 7, then we Stargate Atlantis which is pretty much derivative of Sg1 that I found it to be both a mediocre show at best and down right boring at worst. Im not all that sorry to see it go. Now we get Stargate...

Saw Starship troopers 3 and it was piece of sci fi drek. There was absolutely nothing even remotely redeeming about what so ever. of course can't blame Verhoeven for this tragedy.

Andromeda could have been great but they abandoned the whole rebuld the commonwealth theme and the show just lost any reason at all for being. season 3 ,4 and 5 waist of time attention and film.:rolleyes: ruined.

I think Steven Moffat did the right thing in turning down Spielberg, because I doubt he would have been allowed the kind of creative control that he is normally used to. Also I don't think that Steven Spielberg would be the right choice to direct a Doctor Who film. Someone like an Alex Proyas...
