    We all hate Byron, but...

Interesting that some people seem to hate the character directly or for some superficial reasons. I hate Byron, but more for his creation and integration into B5. It thought the whole teep story was boring, slow, draw-out and generally... crap. So I hate Byron for his existence, than the...

    Friction between the B5 cast?

So come on then. Name and shame! Jerry Doyle was absent...

showing a newb SiL first (seriously)

Dunno. I'd say people like that are never going to appreciate B5 and should stick to watching a nice soap like one about benders from the east or something.

"do not kill the one who is already dead" niggle

The point you have to remember is it's a Centauri prophecy, not a general B5 one. So it has to been read/understood from the Centauri perspective.

"do not kill the one who is already dead" niggle

Maybe it could be Morden as 'not kill the man who is already dead' and that Londo missed this chance for redemption too; if his final 2 acts of not killing Sheridan and then letting G'Kar kill him is the part of the SAME decision. Londo gets his keeper pist so can free Sheridan, but in order to...

"do not kill the one who is already dead" niggle

^ Yep. That's exactly what I said. Officially, the one who is already dead is Sheridan. Surrendering yourself to your greatest fear is G'Kar killing Londo. I think the point is you have to see it from a centauri perspective, only, not a B5 big picture perspective. The eye that does not see...

"do not kill the one who is already dead" niggle

^ It just means it's not as well written as you think. I think that's just a feature of one mind writing 5 years of script and that everyone has a different perception of things. There's bound to be a few holes, especially if some of it is down to ones own interpretation. It's just annoying...

showing a newb SiL first (seriously)

Not to mention that you're going to know in advance that a load of main characters die.

"do not kill the one who is already dead" niggle

I had a big theory on Lady Morella's prophecy as well,... until I read (I think) on the Lurkers guide that JMS stated 'the eye that does not see' is G'Kar, 'the one who is already dead' is Sheridan and 'surrender to your greatest fear' is G'Kar strangling Londo at the end. Kinda kills the fun...

    Completed The Series

There's also Zathras who we know told Sinclair that Sheridan was the one who will be just before he went back into the past... What if Kosh had simply met Valen before? Valen knew the Vorlons well. Afterall Kosh was obviously very old and old enough to have met Lorien presumably at Z'Ha'Dum...

showing a newb SiL first (seriously)

Nah, it just wouldn';t have the same effect. The reason it's so sad (and is emphasised by JMS in the audio commentary) is that you care for the characters by this point. You feel massively sorry for... well, everyone and it's sad to see B5 be destroyed and the series end. I HAVE used 2...

    Season 5 - Dull?

I've just bought s5 on DVD and am watching it for the 2nd/3rd time since TV - can't remamber, and now I remember why, even though I forget most of the lines. Dull? Hell yeah! We've just come from the breakneck high action high drama of s4 to what seems like a pre-s1-velocity series...

EpDis: War Without End Part Two

Yep. Great bombshell for referring back and it was something you could guess. I suspected Sinclair was Valen long before Marcus summed it up. It starts you second-guessing every epsiode after that. :) Best one for insistent skeptics who admit they were surprised and impressed by the referral...

    Completed The Series

That's exactly what I'm saying happened and I also say it is plausible to accelerate evolution this way in the B5 universe, as this is what happened to Ironheart. Afterall he was worthy of first one status, given that he was able to teach the Shadows and Vorlons a thing or two about the big...

    Completed The Series

So you say Sheridan was 'absorbed' into a larger entity? That's perverse! :D Even worse when Sheridan was clearly prepared and knew of this fate. Maybe he was more Lorien than Sheridan when he 'died' in SiL anyway? But while entities can join in B5 they don't merge as one, they keep their...

B5:TLT - Show Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

I thought JMS hinted at an eposide where you get to see the Vorlon homeworld or am I spreading sensationalised rumours?

EpDis: A Late Delivery From Avalon

I liked the eposide in a kinda poking-fun at sci-fi kinda way. Lighthearted. Andreas' acting when drunk in the bar was perfect. I'm sure he really was wasted for that scene! lol

    Completed The Series

So the change in Sheridan's attitude to the universe - the whole Shadow war, his willingness to sacrifice people for the cause*, treating other races (such as the league) as civilisationally inferior etc. in general more daring and even less willing to 'take no sh!t' and seeing the big picture...

The implication is there. When humans 'expire' they leave behind a dead body. There was no body, ergo he wasn't human at the time of his expiration... Even if something is atomised or completely converted to energy, there is still a large amount of residual radiation left behind (quite a lot...

lol I dunno. I kinda mean seeded in a new lifeform kinda way... could be sexual. Who knows what first one sex is like? ;) heh, Sheridan was talked into bed by a first one... Errrr! :D Seriously, yeah changes to Sheridan's 'form'. Why should he have changed right after the fight with Kosh2? Are...
