I tend to find that surprisingly few of the fans of B5 actually want to play games based on it. It does seem rather odd to me, I know that the fans are a little on the older side these days but even back when the show was on there didn't seem to be that much interest.

I wouldn't want more episodes for the reasons given. But I think that having 50 minutes per episode rather than 45 would have been good for the show.

When it comes to Amazon and The Expanse, Jeff Bezos was actually a huge fan of the show and was rather annoyed that they didn't have the rights to it already. So we've got to get him to watch B5 I guess.

Thing is, anyone who is dumb enough to claim B5 is the rip off is going to get informed at great length exactly why they're wrong. If there's one flaw we don't have in B5 fandom it's showing too much restraint.

It's pretty sad. While I don't believe that anyone involved with writing DS9 saw JMS's work, it's pretty obvious that the executives had seen it and were directing DS9 to be more like B5. There are some pretty startling coincidences otherwise.

I'd always known they stole the idea for DS9, it's pretty obvious in fact. But I didn't know they actively tried to kill it with nonsense like saying "If you buy DS9 you can't also buy B5"

I'm currently working my way through all the B5 interviews in the Archive of American Television. There's some stuff in there I didn't know before, especially the stuff about Paramount actively trying to kill B5.

I've always suspected that the Vindrizi and the ViCaRs, like the technomages were based on first one tech of some sort. I doubt we'd have seen them again in B5. Whether we'd have seen them again in Crusade or Legend of the Rangers is another matter.
