Don't get me wrong, I didn't go in expecting something typical JMS. I knew I was in for popcorn. But this movie was so dumb and the action so outlandish or dull most of the time I didn't enjoy much.

Has anybody else seen this? I thought a JMS-written ninja movie could only be awesome, but boy was I wrong. One of the dumbest movies I've seen latetly. Granted, he was only hired to do a rewrite so I'm sure he was working under strict guidelines, but holy crap was that script terrible.

I don't know why I didn't notice this the first time around with the DVD sets, but this time around I've noticed how horrible the sound mix is on the DVDs. The music overpowers the dialogue way too much, to the point that sometimes the dialogue is unintelligible. I'm not an audiophile, though...

I have to disagree with you there. Although I agree it didn't really get back to the level of greatness with the arc stories until halfway through the season, I think it was on top of its game with the non-arc episodes "The Long Night of Londo Mollari" and "A View From the Gallery."

I had the second half and the last 2 books as extended editions...thought he last two books weren't very long so I can't imagine what could have been extended...well, okay, I can imagine some things, but that's for the NC-17 forum...

For Apprentice I had an original (so original the cover soon feel apart). The rest I had the extended editions.

Still watching and mostly loving it. As always, sometimes Lost is too confusing for its own good and at the start of a new season I always have trouble remembering what the heck is going on, even with the recaps. I have a feeling the two timelines will cross paths somehow... I sorta share...

I think that makes a huge difference. Even though I started the second book right afterward and didn't have to wait, the fact they are 2 separate books here makes a psychological impact. They become separated in my mind, and it definitely messes with the flow. They should definitely be published...
