Netflix and Amzon have just lost Trek and the Expanse has finished. There are rumors or a Mass Effect show on Prime and Halo is getting a series on Paramount Plus. we get a fair few CW shows on Netflix in the UK, so it may well end up there.

"Crap Arc Syndrome" is now in my lexicon.

The Girl Who waited felt a bit like the Prisoner or the Avengers. I really liked it, as with the God Complex. Really enjoying all of this half-season to be honest, maybe I'm finally in synch with Moffat Who.

Hmm, I loved Moffats' last one and will give him the benefit of the doubt, much better than the continual RTD Dr as Jesus / Saviour motif. Also like the continued theme of placing the Doctor on his own or with new people.

Its used heavily in modern genre fiction and Martin is acknowledged as a master of it. He uses it to create high levels of suspense in later books. You may find it infuriating down the line. Its the reason I read these books at x2 the pace of anything else.
