Someone tried to hack the site. I don't think they got anywhere, but it spooked me because I haven't applied the recent upgrades to vBulletin. So I closed it while I had to pop out, and then when I got back upgraded the forums.
Also annoying is that IE wouldn't display the message I put up saying the site was closed. Microsoft in their infinite wisdom put up "friendly" erorr messages, thinking that generic "the site isn't working" message is bettert than my specific message on why the site is down. Grr.
