The Psi-Corps Trilogy (Spoiler!!!)

D

I just finished reading the Psi-Corps trilogy, and have a question about Bester. Sorry, don't know how to do a spoiler box. For those who haven't read it yet, I'm warning you, don't read any further. Am leaving a space.

In the book, it says that Bester's left hand was eternally clenched since Steven Walters (I think that's his last name) told him his parents were the Dexters. I never noticed Bester's left hand being paralized in the series, have any of you seen it?

It was Walter Koenig's idea, and a reason was written into the books.

The clenched fist is best seen in the episode "The Corps is Mother, the Corps is Father". Bester is in his quarters when he gets a visitor. He has a glove on one hand but not on the other.

To activate a spoiler box

"There are 2 ways that this can be configured on a per board basis. If HTML is On then you will see HTML is On and you can use normal HTML in your posts. If UBBCode is on you will see UBBCode is On. The following tags are available for your use if UBBCode is enabled:

[ b ] text [ /b ] = Makes the given text bold.
[ u ] text [ /u ] = Makes the given text underlined.
[ spoiler ] text [ /spoiler ] = Places the given text into a spoiler box, to prevent casual reading.
..."

I have added spaces to the brackers to stop them from being activated.

I never did, Sky. But I'm not the most observant of persons, especially when watching television.

I read about it later and realized that almost all of his shots in the earlier episodes were from "upper body" shots that didn't let you even see what Mr. Koenig was doing with that arm and hand. How frustrating for an actor!

It is also very true that you can finally see it for certain in "The Corps is Mother..." that A.M. Swallow mentions It's really the only time I can say I ever noticed this affectation even AFTER knowing about it.

Sharper eyes than mine say you can tell in the earlier eps, but I really can't say that I can.

I thought it was quite noticeable that he never used his left hand although you couldn't exactly see that it was clenched because he always wore the black gloves.

if you watch the eps he is in you definitely can notice that his hand is clinched all the time. In Mind War when he shoots his ppg he rests it on his fist

Thanks alot for showing me how to use the spoiler box.
