Why do spammers spam. New research has shown that the response rate to spam is 1 in 12.5 million. :eek: Yet they make money with that response rate.

If they're red they can't do anything, so no worries.

Well those are spammers, that's something else. My scripts are catching most of them now. I have set it so banned accounts are in red. If you see a dodgy account in red there's no need to worry as they're already banned.

Yeah, it was the same hack as last time. Quite specific, they didn't have full control over the system. I thought it was fixed in a previous patch, but I guess not.

I've been tightening the controls against spammers on the other boards i run, and I will be integrating those new things here. That should cut back on spammers.

I always watch Supernanny, and the US version. But I only just realized the US one is scored by none other than Christopher Franke! It'd be so good to have some of his B5 music in there... military like drums, Shadow noises etc. :D

I can't disagree that so much is financially motivated, but let's not forget that those same people from the 80s are now in power behind the camera. JJ Abrams and Star Trek is a case in point. It's a rebootish, but he's a total fan boy. Joss Whedon wanting to do Wonderwoman is another.

It's a remake I'd take a look at. Make him sleeker and less stupid though, more modern.. could be good.

I found my virus scanner was grabbing it, but the browser was locking up. So i had a lot of trouble removing the simple one-line entry that was causing the problem. I had to go fiddle with the database manually.

As some of you may have seen, the site was hacked yesterday. Trojans tried to download onto visitors' computers. If you visited yesterday, I strongly urge you to run a virus scan just to be safe. Thankfully the hack was not deep or damaging. It was nasty code that was inserted into every page...

I think it's the first version. It doesn't say it's special or anything. But they are sealed and I don't have a VCR, so can't confirm. So Jade and Jan, copies for you. I will see how much it'l cost postage wise. I'll try and find the cheapest option. :)

I have a few sets of the "Babylon 5 Exclusive Limited Edition Video Box Set" up for grabs. It contains a video of In The Beginning and a video of Thirdspace, as well as the Creating Babylon 5 book and a Babylon 5 key ring torch. The videos are PAL (UK), and I know videos are worthless now. But...

There was a definite snootyness about the new BSG. Olomos made statements about how he wouldn't do it if there were aliens with funny forheads etc. Definitely that BSG was "better" sci-fi than say Star Trek. But then they have robot babies, and baby blood curing cancer and all other absurd...
