after monday night football, he sees rod on the phone with his missus and realises that is what he wants, but he's incapable of showing any emotion as evidenced by pretty much the whole film, so he goes home to see his "wife", and talks about how he was the guy who did the home visits because he...
this film is a testament to the genius of Cameron Crowe, it is gloriously cynical, but clearly you weren't paying proper attention because you felt it was "schmaltzy in parts". if you watch the ending you will notice that all he is doing is telling the poor cow what she wants to hear, so he can...
i disagree on it being the best war film ever, due to its lack of a balanced perspective, this is why as good as this film is as well as "come and see", i believe that the longest day is the best war film ever.
platoon is outstanding but for the fear factor i would have to recommend a film...
i love dexter, the concept is new (at least it is in television) and very entertaining.
just finished season 1 of chuck. the whole shows stinks of McG but it remains incredibly entertaining, i'm starting in on my name is earl too, what i've seen so far is very good, though i was initially put...
A man who will truly be missed, with so many outstanding roles roles, it's hard to pick out a favourite, but you can't go far wrong with "Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid" or "Cool Hand Luke".
i spotted both of those, and the guy who plays marlo being in the cast is beyond awesomeness.
now considering this show has become so silly that it is now verging on genius, might i suggest another addition from the cast of the wire, omar with superpowers.
i agree that the wire should have at least received one nod, somewhere back down the line, but are they really out of touch? 3 for 30 rock sounds about right to me.
omar's my favourite, and apparently obamas' too.
just finished watching all of Jeremiah, disappointingly rushed at the end, but truly excellent nonetheless.
i've heard both rumours, and i have heard that aren't true, personally i hope the latter is correct, depp would be awful, first up he's far too big a star, and also i haven't really dug anything he's done since 21 jump street.
i have sadly suffered through most of his work, firefly was okay i guess, but not great, and to be honest it was only the concept that that interested me.
also, grey 17 is an awesome episode, i genuinely don't understand the hatred for it.
because Kinski shits all over any actor who has ever even thought about a role in anything to do with vampires whatsoever.
i just don't think whedon is all that great a writer either, JMS is a genius, ron moore is clichéd and somewhat derivative, but still fairly entertaining.
