I agree, all he had to do to save Sakai was call in an order. I do not really believe that we are witnessing much of a change in G'Kar in the middle of season 1. If anything, the episodes show a character with some depth(in that G'Kar has better things to do than sitting around and plotting...

I was rewatching this tonight and I finally noticed G'Kar switching the fruit...too funny. I like the way that JMS puts an episode like this early in the series to offset the view of G'Kar as a quasi villain that comes across in other parts of season 1.

Yeah, its resolution also fits in with how JMS likes to turn conventions on their head and give you something other than expected..

I rather enjoyed both episodes; I understand the comments about the heavy dialogue but I do not need to see stuff getting blown up to be happy. It was just good to see a few of the characters again though I have to admit I would be happier if some of my favorites had been included in this first...

I voted B. In terms of Crusade episodes, it is one of my favorites but it was not equal to the A episodes of B5...still better than most anything else on TV though...if the grading scale was only in the context of Crusade, then it would be an A.

Good point. If Centauri (or at least the Centauri equivalent of English) is one of the main language groups, then many humans probably know it...or at least those who work in space. I would not be surprised if Earth Force officer training required cadets to learn one or more alien languages...

I do remember that vaguely but I have tried to push that element of the movie into the darkest recesses of my mind. I can understand JMS wanting to do something different than just hitting buttons but I still think it came across as more of an excuse to have a woman jumping about the enjoyment...

This issue may have turned up in an earlier thread somewhere but it came to me as I have been rewatching some season 4 and season 5. Now, if you see two Minbari, two Centauri, or two Narn speaking, we can probably assume that they are using their own languages even though we hear it in English...

I found that scene believable; under normal circumstances, I would agree that Londo showed a rather high level of emotion. However, he knew that he was taking his last actions as a free man. As Londo himself said, he had all the power he could ever want but no choices at all.
