Channel 4 (UK) - Just what the hell was cut.

One other that springs to mind is the S5 episode during the Centauri/ISA conflict where they definitely cut a shot of a Centauri with his throat slit. Well it was on while everone was eating their Sunday roast.

As mentioned earlier I don't think the prblem was the cuts, it was the timeslots (although the two are probably related).

IIRC, S1 was shown at 1800 on Tuesday, S2 at 1800 on Monday, S3 at 1800 on Sunday (opposite Songs of Praise - now that was a wierd decision), S4 at around 2240 on Thursday right after that ridiculous space comedy quiz show with Greg Proops and Craig Charles (Space Cadets IIRC), and S5 at lunchtime on Sunday (except the final 5 which were around 0930 daily between Christmas and New Year).

Personally, I would much preferred to have seen it in Dark Skies' slot at 2200 on Monday, where it would not have had to be cut, and wouldn't have got in the way of C4's sports coverage (such as it is).

Part of me would really like to see B5LR (TVM and series (fingers crossed)) go somewhere else. However, given the BBC's record of showing the X-Files out of order, and banishing Space:above and beyond (remember that one?) to a midnight slot, I don't think we really have a viable alternative.

Sky might well pick it up for an initial satellite/cable run - after all it even hyped up the painful Mutant X.

This would seem reasonable since they did pick up Crusade.

IIRC wasn't TKO taken out of order during the original run on Channel 4, then broadcast at a later date and at a later time?

Indeed it was - I'd forgotten that. It would have been interesting to see them try and cut the violence in that one

Typically of C4, they also did it without any advertising (at least none that I saw). I completely missed TKO first time around as I didn't even know it existed, let alone when it would be shown.

For those of you concerned about beurocracy and sensationalism, interference and censorship, and especially as a warning for those looking forward to the proposed Narnia films due to the LotR inspired resurgence of Fantasy flicks, take a peek at the following:

Search the archive section for Aslan and read the New Adventures article. It raised a smile with me.

Oh and the biblical curse generator is fun too!

Back when I was a kid in Sunday School, Father Minkowski once said: "Given the crucifixion was a terrible thing for anyone to endure, if you could go back in time 2200 years, would you prevent the crucifixion of Christ?" Well after a heated debate, we all agreed the answer was no. The crucifixion was necessary to redeem the world. - Lt. John Matheson "The Needs of Earth"
