Would be a challenge for writers to cram fifteen pounds of show into a ten pound bag while building multiple arcs. If Nothing appeared to Happen by the middle of the first season, viewers might take their shorter attention spans elsewhere unless something was added to keep them interested as the story developed. If anyone could pull it off, would certainly be JMS, although if Execs butted in with "advice" in TNT/Crusade fashion, we'd end up with another truncated series.
