Halo movie is a go....

I'm kind of stoked about this, Halo is a great property, and they've got a great writer (Alex Garland) with lots of the original game developers involved. We could be in for rather a good movie here....

I really hope that Master Chief never takes his helmet off! The idea of a faceless hero is a great one, and putting a 'known' actor to it can ruin a movie (i.e. Judge Dread)
 
So basically this could be the first good game movie. I still think that MS should've financed the movie themselves though. Their comment about the financing was quite lame to be honest.
 
I hope they do this right - I've always thought the Halo general design, sounds and story were great.

I haven't played Halo either, so you're not alone in that by far GH. I haven't yet been fond of a video game turned movie, but with Peter Jackson on board for Halo, that's got me hopeful.
 
I honestly couldn't think of a better director for a Halo movie.
