Lost Crusade Scripts...

Okay, I will re-phrase that to ... people like KoshN would actually read. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Sorry, I didn't read that thread, either. Knew I wasn't going to the con, had no idea when it was, didn't think to look for post-con reports. I also tend not to read threads about shows I don't watch and movies I haven't seen. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Guess I'm just strange. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Regards,

Joe

*tries to understand the logic of not reading a thread about a jms convention*

Spoilers? Too painful to read because you can't go? Don't care?

Thought the convention hadn't happened yet. I would have read a thread that indicated it contained information gleaned from the convention, even though I'm sure I'd just be disappointed (because it would contain no good news relating to Babylon 5 or Crusade, and any news of future projects would be solely about Jeremiah, Polaris or comics). I keep up with JMS projects in the interest of coming across any microscopic bit of good news relating to B5 & Crusade.

Somewhere I have red, that episode "Tried and True" is about Dureena and the Thieves Guild. But I am not sure about that.

Here's some info. I've archived from various usenet posts:

"Tried and True" was a Dureena story which focused on her reuniting
with Mafeek, the thief-dude that trained her, and was reportedly a
bottle-story, meaning it probably took place entirely on the Excalibur
and didn't use heavy SFX. From what I've heard, it was kind of a
work-in-progress when TNT pulled their support from the show.

The three-parter would have featured a first episode by Richard
Mueller, a second part by Larry DiTillio (this episode was entitled
either "The Gates of Hell" or "The Walls of Hell") and the third part
by JMS. Dureena was supposed to have gotten kidnapped, and at the end
she has the nifty sword mentioned in the Writer's Bible.

Where did you hear this then? From what I gathered, "To the Ends of the
Earth" was to air as number 13, with "Patterns of the Soul" being pushed
buck to 14 to accommodate the uniform change. You may be thinking of
Larry's script, which centred on the Box.

"Sword Arc #1" by Richard Mueller

> Sword arc #2 (I think that Tried and True started the "Dureena:
> Missing In Action" thread) by Larry DiTillio

Larry's episode had the working title "The Gates of Hell".

> Sword arc #3 by JMS
> The End of The Line

These are the only scraps of info. I have about "Tried and True."

cool

and yes, in the End of the Line script (i think it was that one - one of the lost three anyway). it mentioned a sword "that durenna will receive in a previous episode" or something like that /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

For those who are curious, go to:

[Link removed. Please do not post links to the unpublished Crusade scripts, as JMS has specifically asked people not to distribute them. - Kribu]

If you (or your sources) are right, than still one episode is missing. (13 aired + 3 scripts + "Tried and True" + 3 Sword Arc + 1 Apocaluspe box episode = 21 episodes). Have you got any info?

I don't understand it completely. Does it mean that uniform change was supposed later than "To The Ends of The Earth" and "Patterns of the Soul" was supposed to be aired after "To The Ends of The Earth"?

/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
"Tried and True" was part of the 3-episode sword arc.

I also heard of another outline for an episode, but it sounded sort of star trekish to me. Matheson for some reason is telepathically linked to the ship and goes out of control, and Gideon has to find a way of saving both the ship and Matheson.

I would like to summarize all episodes we know at least something.

14. (unnamed Apocalypse Box Script)
15. To The Ends of The Earth (JMS)
16. Value Judgements (Bester episode)
17. Tried and True (Fiona Avery, Dureena is interrogated by the Thieves Guild)
18. Sword Arc #1 (Richard Mueller)
19. Sword Arc #2 (Larry DiTillio entitled probably The Gates of Hell or The Walls of Hell)
20. Sword arc #3 (JMS)
21. ?????
22. The End of The Line (JMS)

Am I right?

i'm just curious but why did JMS post his two scripts on bookface.com for free and then say he didn't want them distributed after that site folded? i understand they are his and he can do what he wants, but why the change of heart?

it is not a change of heart

bookface let you read them, you could not download them, and you could not print them
you could only view them online
