To encourage advertising by IBM you probably do not have to actually have to buy one of its machines. Simply get your computer manager's secretary to write and ask for details. Include in the letter a sentence saying that the companie’s/universitie’s technical staff saw the advert on Sci-Fi during Rangers.
With machines that expensive IBM only has to sell 2 or 3 more a year to cover the cost of the advert. Its head office will probably be happy if IBM sells a few more desktop pcs.
