Mira Furlan to Appear at Jester’s Playhouse in NJ

Northfield, NJ, November 4th, 2006: . Mira Furlan, star of ABC’s Lost and Babylon 5, will join Jester’s Playhouse’ staff and customers in celebrating the store’s 10th Anniversary on Saturday November 4th, 2006. Free food and prizes are available as well as game demonstrations and tournaments.

Glanced too quickly at that headline.

The first time my brain processed it, it read: "Mira Furlan to appear in Penthouse" and then when my brain did a "that cant be right" double-take, it read: "Mira Furlan to appear in Playboy"

Thats what I get for speed-reading headlines...

I actually did very much the same thing Recoil back when I first read the subject line. I didn't do it twice; I didn't see Penthouse in the word. But I did have to actively stop myself, look at the word, and make myself realize it didn't say Playboy. :eek: :D

Now, why on Earth would she go to New Jersey to pose for Playboy or Penthouse, sheesh. Surely, it would be done on Babylon 5 or a South Pacific Island ;)

I certainly do. I think she delivers a dramatic line with more flair than any other actress.

On the ABC LOST board I'm constantly talking about wishing she had a more regular part.

I for one didn't misread it.

I did wonder however, if Jester's Playhouse could possibly be a theatre, and what the chances of Mira appearing in a comedy would be. :D

Well, I soon realized it wasn't a theatre, and also realized I didn't know if she's ever done any comedy. I guess it's likely, but I don't recall a mention. So I guess not much.

As for people with dirty minds, I can't help them. They'll simply have to seek a competent telepath... to help them avoid misreading. :p

Actually, I suspect they'll need a whole lot of competent telepaths, and a plurality of cleaning materials, or they'll get their minds dirty again in no appreciable time. :p

Er .. noone said anything to the contrary of that. Especially considering the gay ratio of the people doing the "porn talk", that does seem a bit far-fetched.

I'm thinking about it, but I may be tied up in a recording session that weekend. I do know some B5 fans in NJ, though, so I'll see if any of them are planning on going. I'd like the answer to that question, too!
