Possible Crusade Alternative (don't kill me)

Re: Possible Crusade Alternative (don\'t kill me)

Now this is weird. I went looking via the web and this is what one site said in terms of original air dates for Red Dwarf:

Season 1- Season 3 1988-1989
Season 4 - Season 6 1991 - 1993
Season 7- on 1997 - 1999

I've never heard of a series starting and stopping for such periods of times (years, literally). And I guess I've never seen the 1997-1999 episodes.

Anyhow, my original point was: I didn't notice the Red Dwarf cast aging much. And they have been at that show for over 10 years.

Not that I think Crusade has any chance of being brought back. But the aging of the actors might not be the problem some thought it would be.

well, not with Daniel Dae Kim, at least, he looks the same as he did about 7 years ago.

All would I would wager. Makeup can do wonders. Bruce Boxlightener (sp?) looked pretty much the same in S2 of B5 as he did back in the day playing in the movie "The Gambler" and "Scarecrow and Mrs. King" and those were filmed in the early 80s I believe. People dont age THAT rapidly, and things like hair color, greyness, and even wrinkles can be taken care of with makeup, so it rarely shows at all...

"Hidden Agendas" is a short story written by JMS that takes place right after season 5 began, it has Ivanova aboard the Titans, her ship,I'm not going to say more though.

Red Dwarf was a very strange series, and a very successful one in the UK. I have never really understood why they took breaks in between series. It always seemed as though it was a battle to get the cast and crew together.

And the most annoying thing was that the series were very short just six episodes and I think the last two had eight episodes each. If you thought that B5 had a lot of unanswered questions at the end it hasn't got a patch on RD.

I am still sceptical about the movie, I will believe that when they actually begin filming not just doing read through. Did anyone ever see the American version of the show?
