someone who likes b5

They slapped him around pretty well, didn't they? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.E) by training, but over the last 12 years, I've mostly been in database-related computer programming (the bosses and I discovered that I have a real knack for it). I like solving puzzles, I guess. You know in Crusade "War Zone" when Eilerson tells Gideon "It's a knack. It's like this place. I got the lights to work. I found a system to shield it from outside detection..." It's like that. I once successfully helped a girl in college with her COBOL homework, even though I've never taken COBOL. I took the Strength of Materials section in the afternoon portion of the E.I.T. test (successfully passed), even though I've never taken a Strength of Materials class. *shrug*

I never really met any B5 fans until I went to AgamemCon. There are too many Trek & Star Wars fans around here.

When B5 first aired I was in secondary school and used to convert at least one person a year to the show.

Last after being with my GF for two years I thought it time to show her some B5. Man she loved it, to the point where she was writing to fan clubs and scouring the net for merchandise.

Although I remember the experience of one of my birthdays (can not remember which one). A buch of kids came over from school and spent Saturday night round my place. One of the guys had been on holiday and had missed the last four episodes of B5 season 2, I told him not to worry as I usually taped the show. We were all spralled out on the floor and sofa of the living room when this guy gets up at about 8am and starts searching my video tapes so he could start watch the missed episodes.

One by one every one gets up and are forced to watch a show they have never seen befor. Even a couple of ladies who didn't generally watch sci fi had to endure as episode after episode went on. Funny thing was by the time Fall of Night finished they were like "Wheres the next episode?" Man they really loved the show. Suffice to say I ended up some belated birthday beats when I informed them it would be some time befor the next episode aired.

My earliest memory of B5 is running around the house looking for a blank tape, with my mother yelling at me to hurry up. We had to tape B5 so my dad could have it to watch when he got home from working in Tuktoyaktuk.

As long as I've known about B5, I've known someone who likes it.

Sounds like they could use you on the Excalibur.

That'd be nice.

I'd work with that bunch any day.

You know what I think's the most unusual thing about Gary Cole? He's oddly proportioned and deceptively tall. He has an unusually long torso, tall head, and short legs. I mean, look at him. By himself, he looks like a medium/short guy, but put him next to Peter Woodward, a guy who "looks" tall, and they're the same height.

Makes me feel like the guy on the right in this GIF. Twak

You know I never thought of him as having short legs

I went through my picture collection (which as you might guess is extensive

) looking for a full length picture of him. Turns out I don't have many as I tend to be interested in clse-ups (big surprise!), but I've attached one from a movie of his Santa Fe, and the legs don't look short to me.

Well, there's something about him that makes him not seem as tall as the rest (Galen, Max, etc), but then when you see him next to them, they're all the same height. It's just strange, like some kind of optical illusion.

He's exactly 6 foot, if that helps. It must be an illusion, because here's another pic that shows those long legs (tries not to whimper and fails

)
