You know, this whole thread has got me thinking. (And you all know how dangerous
that can be.
)
Delenn seems to adjust awfully quickly to her life as a Human after she emerges from the Chrysalis. Apart from having Ivanova do her hair, that little chat in the elevator and learning to swear from Sheridan, she isn't really shown being
taught how to be a Human. And I'm convinced that she'd need lessons.
I think there is a whole untold
B5 adventure here, which takes place
in-between the episodes where the fate of the galaxy is hanging in the balance. But this couldn't be just another hurried TV movie. No, this would have to be:
Babylon 5: The Musical
I can see it now.
My Fair Satai
G'Kar in the Henry Higgins role
Londo as Pickering to G'Kar's Higgins
Draal as Mr. Dolittle
Delenn as Eliza
(The curtain rises on G'Kar's quarters. It is the morning after he has bet Londo the expense of the experiment that he can pass Delenn off as a Human at the ambassador's ball in a month's time. Delenn is seated stiff-backed on a bench. Londo lounges in an arm chair, reading T.S. Elliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats
. G'Kar, in his dressing gown, paces up and down.)
G'KAR: No, no, no Delenn. Let's try it again. "The flarn from Narn is highly prized by Varn."
DELENN: The flarn from Narn is highly prized by Varn.
G'KAR
(to Londo): I think she's got it.
(to Delenn) Again.
DELENN: The flarn from Narn is highly prized by Varn
LONDO: She
does have it, no?
DELENN: The flarn from Narn is highly prized by Varn
G'KAR: By
G'Quon I think she's got it. Again!
DELENN:
(singing) The flarn from Narn is highly prized by Varn
G'KAR: Where is this prize-ed flarn?
DELENN:
(singing) On Narn! On Narn!
G'KAR: And who is so fond of flarn?
DELENN:
(singing) It's Varn! It's Varn!
ALL:
(singing) The flarn from Narn is highly prized by Varn. The flarn from Narn is highly prized by Varn....
(Scampers away before anyone can summon the NBS)
Regards,
Joe
