The Village

I really enjoyed this movie. I don't think it's meant to be a "twisty" type movie, but just a story about a girl. :)

Well, there is a twist. Shamaylan's twists are usually geared around the sudden change of perception. You saw things which your mind may have momentarily questioned, but then you went on. Once hit with the twist, you wonder how you missed it. This was true in The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, and The Village. Signs didn't really have a twist - that was more like a case of serendipity. Still, even then, all those water glasses were similarly placed in full view and quickly ignored by most of us.

I'm not so sure Unbreakable had this great TWIST, other than Samuel Jackson being the bad guy. But that wasn't as big as his other movies per say...it was really about Bruce Willis realizing he was a superhero of sorts...which he gradually did. But I never considered Unbreakable to have a great or huge TWIST to it. I liked it none the less.
