Afaik Win is essentially the same as the nine network on the mainland... so I'd just thought I'd bring it to people's attention....

about a year ago In the Beginning was on, and I although I haven't been here much lately, every time I mentioned seeing it, no one else had heard about it... and I'd hate people to miss out

I have not lost my mind... it's backed up on disk somewhere!

Cool even though it wasn't the best b5 telemovie I'll still be watching it

Well, it does contain some interesting stuff.
Like the fact that the Soul Hunters have imprisoned Three races who were on the verge of achieving the evolutionary step into Energy state.

And that they themselves have achieved physical immortality.
The Soul Hunter who comes aboard the station says he's one of the Youngest SH at only 3000+ years.

At least one implication is that the Vorlons & Shadows didn't monitor such advanced races very closely.
If they Had been monitoring, they'd have been likely to warn the Soul Hunters away.
Or warn the Races to defend themselves.

You have to wonder if Physical Immortality is one of the things that can freeze a race into an evolutionary dead end.
It would certainly Slow Down the process.
Unless the race began experimenting on itself to see what sort of "improvements" they could make.

Do not ascribe your own motivations to others:
At best, it will break your heart.
At worst, it will get you dead."

In reply to Bakana:

They would also lose people to accident, conflict and disease, so evolution would continue anyway. As for self-modification... it would come before immortality. It could take different forms: biological or technical, permanent or temporary, common or individual.

Lorien seemed to choose his external form according to situation.

Vorlons seem to tinker with their genes, carrying the rest in an encounter suit. Their native form is a "squid of light" but their mind can dwell within others. With some effort, they can move through walls and empty space.

Shadows seem to have a more integrated form. They might walk through walls and dimensions, carry Shadowtech in and on them, but they never seem to abandon that dark angular shape.
