Galen apologized to Isabelle for not being able to save her. (I'm not sure about the reason.)

But I could be imagining things again...I often can't tell teh difference between my dreams and real life heh.

Londo divorced two of his wifes so he had one. They were arranged marriages for power. Polygamy was allowed for increases in power by family associations.

What was the name of the Earth Cruser that was "parked" outside of Regula 3(Alwyn's home)?

I don't remember a cruiser, but the destroyer shown was the Medusa.

What letter was taped to the window in Visitors from Down the Street?

What were CSM/Agent Kendarr's two memorable quotes?

Two? I remember "The truth is..."

"out of fashion"

But not a second one.

So how about the answer to my question above? What was the name of the bas where Max and Trace drank dandelion wine?

<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

"Y" correct, right next door to "X".

Right before "The truth is ...out of fashion." Agent Kendarr says ...
"The truth has never been in anyone's best interests."

About the bar's name, since I'd have to cheat and go look, I was leaving it for somebody else.

When Galen says he and Isabelle have been sold out by three of their own kind, who's he referring to (their names)?

Haven't read the books, so I'm afriad I'll have to leave that one.

I'll probably get burned alive for saying it, but Peter Woodward's potrayal of Galen got so far up my nose, that I can't bring myself to read anything further about the character. Shame really, because if the part had been less horribly overacted, the character had a lot going for him

Well, I could not possibly disagree more. Galen was my immediate favorite character in Crusade. How do you distinguish between "overacting" and the natural, larger than life flair of a mage? Not all mages are like Elric (who was more subtle than most). Besides, Galen is still a young mage when we see him in Crusade. He hasn't quite got a handle on it.

IMHO, the Technomage trilogy, Galen's appearances in the Centauri Prime trilogy, A Call to Arms, and the Crusade episodes with Galen in them, all nicely compliment each other.

You really should read the Technomage trilogy. It'll give you much needed background on Galen.

I guess for me, Edward Woodward's delivery of Alwyn was bang on target. Flamboyant and fun, without being over the top. Incidentally, I think Peter W gave some of his best performances in his scenes with his father. Maybe Woodward Snr reined Jr in a little
wink.gif

But sadly, to me, most of the time his delivery smacked of a faux Shakespearean excess, and needed toning down a notch

i posted this in the B5 trivia area and i hope that no one will mind if i also post it here. i don't as much about Crusade as i do about B5, so help from Crusade fans would be great so that i can give it a fair shake in the game i am making...

----------

i am working on a Babylon 5 trivia game. it is in flash and designed for pocket pcs (not palm devices),but it will play on any computer that can use the flash player. it's a massive undertaking, but it's been a lot of fun. basically, it's been the project i've used to learn flash.

it will cover the entire Babylon 5 tv series as well as the telemovies. i am not sure yet if i'll include Crusade as i didn't like it as much and i don't have lots of info on it anyway. and after i read all the books, i'll probably include them too. i won't wait for that though as i can always release new editions as i update the quiz data.

i've been gathering data like mad. i just wish i had the Babylon 5 A-Z guide and the Babylon file, volume one and two. i'd be willing to pay for those 3 books, by the way, if anyone would like to contact me - trinityb5@yahoo.com

by the way, if anyone would like to submit questions, that would be cool too. i need it in the form of a question with 4 multiple choice answers, the first answer on the list should be the correct one. Crusade fans and readers of the books would be very helpful here.

here is the project URL - http://www.pocketrocketfx.com/html/fabflash_trivia_b5.htm - but the game isn't done yet, but it will be by the end of the winter. and i may release betas before then. of course, it will be free.

No, they're just different characters. Alwyn is a lot older, and has been a mage a lot longer than Galen. The Technomage books give a lot of good backround on Alwyn, as well. They make you appreciate the conversations in "The Long Road" even more.

<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

IMHO, that's just "Galen" the character. By the time of Crusade (2267), he's still a relatively young mage (30 years old), and he's repressed, bigtime. He's trying to maintain an iron grip of control on his abilities, for reasons you'll see in the Technomage books. At 21 years of age (back in Book 1), he knows things that most other mages don't, and can do things that no other mages can do. That's a lot of pressure to put on someone so young.

If you read the Technomage books, you'll probably change your mind. You'll see the progression, and the reasons for why Galen is the way he is.

Gale! Gale! Gale!

Some people don't seem to like you! I want everyone to love you like I do. Please come back and show everybody how wonderful you are! Can you hear me? Are you happy?

Well, readers of the mage novels would know who I'm mimicking.

Galen is far in the way my favorite character thanks to both the mage novels and Crusade.

Galen, why don't you Fed and myself go out and woo some women, get drunk, and have some good times?

Somewhat seriously though, I do tend to agree that the transition from the Galen character portrayed in the mage novels and the Galen character in Crusade does feel a little different. However, almost five years passed by between those two segments. A lot can change.

Cheers,

His father's ring.

Well the ring was given to Galens Father from his Mother.. It could copy any infomation (data crystals etc) it came into contact with...

It had some otehr fucntions to but I am forgetting..

But the real reason was that Galen's Motehr gave it to his father so she could use it to murder him...It sets of a charge thingy..

Galen programmed it so that if Fa said Gale 3 times into it, it would attract galens attention.

What where it's otehr use's?

I'm not too sure about the third name, been too busy to remember all of the trilogy but i'll give it a try:
1. Tilar
2. Elizar
3. Raziel (sp? if that's even right)

Now for my ?.
What was the name of the mage that made the nanovirus in "The Memory of War?"
Sorry if that isn't answered in the ep cause i can't remember right now, but i'm pretty sure it was mentioned. If it wasn't then here's another one, What reason did Galen conclude was the reason that his order forbid mages to go to that planet? By that i mean the planet in the same ep as above.

I don't think the mage was ever named, but rather was referred to as "tho one who made me" and "the one who's shadow I am".

I don't know the name of the mage that created the nanovirus on that planet or the name of the planet. However, Galen believed that the Circle did not want mages to go to this planet because they wished to hide the shame of a mage using their powers for destruction, for genocide!!!
