Brent Spiner was nice to see, as was Alec Newman.

I really don't feel as if I have all that much to say about this episode. It was ok, but it didn't shuck my shorts. The last ten minutes or so was far better than most of what was in the rest of the episode.

I couldn't help but notice the considerable similarity between the Augments here and the Nietzscheans (before they got screwed over right along with the rest of the show) of Andromeda.

Re: Enterprise: \"Borderland\" (Spoilers)

I'm still waiting until the whole story is told. But initial reaction is...well. :(

Feh!

They are not raising the bar and they needed to to really raise the franchise from the dead.

They're offering little treats and morsels, but no substance.

And would someone please teach T'Pol and the Vulcans how to act...well...VULCAN!

Anyway, still trying to keep an open mind here.

Re: Enterprise: \"Borderland\" (Spoilers)

"Treats and morsels" are just about all we got from B5 for the first couple seasons. Enterprise has just started a new storyline, and people are expecting huge things to happen right away? The best stories bait you for a while until they show their hands. This episode served to start up a nice mini-arc that might just come back later on in the series as an ongoing storyline, and I think it did well.

I liked the dirty, dark feel of the Orion settlement. Very Star Warsy, as I've always imagined things to be in the quadrant before the Federation had a chance to clean things up.

Could have done without the usual "hey look, T'Pol is hot, ain't she?" stunts. She needs to eat a sammich.
