Carvin- Lucy Lawless?
Naah, not young enough, and too experienced. Carvin's a teenage girl. I'd pick Mira Sorvino, because she could play younger than Lucy Lawless.

By the age standard, Peter Woodwards too old to play Galen during this trilogy. I do think Mira's a good choice, but I would stick with Lucy because of her physical abilities.

Good point about Peter Woorward.
Re. Mira Sorvino, go watch
The Replacement Killers.
It's one of the few action movies that I can watch repeated times without getting tired of it
(Dead Bang and Ronin are other good examples of this, though without Mira Sorvino).

Remember, Kell has dark skin. I'd pick, Morgan Freeman or Samuel L. Jackson.

I do not remember the description of the color of his skin. I'd be happy with either of these two in the cast, however.

Casting Shadows page 29, line 6 & 7:
<table bgcolor=black><tr><td bgcolor=black><font size=1 color=white>Spoiler:</font></td></tr><tr><td><font size=2 color=black> "Kell kept his dark scalp hairless." I'd assumed since it was hairless, and his goatee had "gone white" that his skin itself was dark. I think his dark skin is mentioned elsewhere, as well.</font></td></tr></table>

I just didn't particularly care for Sophie's portrayal. (Though the book's description of the cause of death sets up incredible obstacles for an actress in that scene.)
The more I watch BtVS, the more impressed I am with Alyson's range. I think that Isabel's playfulness and resourcefulness and depth would be very well served by having her in the cast.

While Alyson would be a good choice, especially considering Shirley MacLaine as Burell.
