There is a wider issue about IPR after your death, but I think to counter-sue a small family is a bit shitty. I personally oppose any legal decision that restricts the public domain, but even so, the creators families have argued for their rights as they stand now and won. But Warner's continue to sue. I'd rather see Superman owned by the creators' families than a big corporation.
As a creator himself who has strong business relationships with Warners and DC and who loves Superman, I wonder what JMS feels about this?
