"Buffy" Brain Drained

Re: \"Buffy\" Brain Drained

:(

Damn. I wanted Angel or Spike movies. Oh well, take the bad with good i always say! I have 12 seasons to enjoy.

Re: \"Buffy\" Brain Drained

I think it's a good thing. Buffy and Angel devolved into a mess. I hope he takes some time to rest, and come back with something strong.

Re: \"Buffy\" Brain Drained

Sounds more like he was discouraged with reality TV and decided to high tail it out of town. Hope Serenity is better than Firefly was. I'll support Joss and come out to see the film but I didn't like Firefly at all. Some people I really respect tell me it was because the episodes were aired partly out of sequence. I'm not so sure that is the reason for my dislike of the series.

Re: \"Buffy\" Brain Drained

I never saw any episodes of Firefly on tv. I could barely remember the show existed, let alone what time and channel of its broadcast. I was hesitant to buy the show on DVD because I'm not exactly a fan of the Western genre, and I did know enough about the show to know it was kind of a Wester-Space hybrid. But I love Buffy and Angel, so eventually my trust in Joss Whedon to do a good story won out and I bought the DVDs and as such got to have my first real exposure to the show be with episodes in their intended order.

I was hooked on the show by the end of the first part of the opening two-parter. I came to find the Western part of the hybrid to be rather charming. I liked that the world the characters lived in wasn't pretty, that they struggled to get by, that they all had complex personalities. I also was intrigued by there being so many main characters and yet it always felt as if each contributed to the episode in some way not just fading into the background until it was their time to have a focus episode. The large arcing plot was meager in the episodes produced, but there was enough of it to see ground work being layed for future episodes. And Lord knows I love me some good involved arcs. :)

So, adding it all together, I'm greatly anticipating Serentiy.
