OK so Papa Patreli has been messing with his wife's head for a while so why didn't he just mess with his son's head and get him to give the case to another DA....

Stop using logic, you know we can't expect the writers to be logical.

1) What is the purpose of the company? If they just locked up "special" people I would understand it but they do so much extra curricular stuff that it doesn't make much sense.

To control the world is my guess. Linderman and Angela sought to let New York City be destroyed in season one, and with rigging the election to make Nathan win, they planned on manipulating things so that Nathan could eventually become president. That fell through, of course, so who knows what exactly now. This season has been mostly dealing in trying to regain control over the that magic formula that can give people powers.

2) Where did Adam fit into the system?...

No where important, apparently, given that the writers have killed him off.

3) In Monday's episode while gardening Mama Patreli tells her husband that Peter will be so powerful when his powers come in. How did they know he would have powers and what they would be? Sometimes it makes sense as in Sylar and Peter can take others powers in different ways like their dad. But Claire can heal unlike her mom (fire) and dad (fly)

Well, week before last was it, Arthur had told Sylar that Angela had had a vision about Sylar and his powers and she tried to drown him because of it. So, maybe now they're having Angela having had a vision about Peter's powers too. It's interesting considering there was a time in this show that it seemed that Angela considered Peter to be a weakling.

...Adam apparently went power hungry before the rest of them, and they locked him away in a cell (since they couldn't kill him)....

Except of course they've now shown that they could very much kill Adam.

Good point.

I want Papa Petrelli gone. He's kind of a blah bad guy, imho. I mean, sure he's sinister, but he's not what Sylar was. While I'm glad that they have more to do with Sylar (he rocks!) I don't know that we'll get another baddie quite like him.

I actually enjoyed the last episode (the flashback one). I couldn't work out why I enjoyed it until it suddenly hit me...the cheerleader was hardly in it!

I also had a bit of a chuckle when it was revealed that Meredith and Flint were siblings. I thought to myself "Vacantlook is gonna be pissed".

I can see that this show could get better. I just hope it does.

Sylar was interesting. He's always interesting.

Hiro's having his memories of the past 18 years wiped out is annoying. Hiro's character really has been running in a hamster wheel this season. Erasing his memory is a convenient way of taking all of the growing up Hiro did the past two seasons and throwing it out the window so that he can be endlessly used for "comedy".

Ando's biceps looked particularly bulgy in last night's episode. [giggle]

There's been quite a bit of time that has passed since Isaac was killed, so how is that comic book still able to produce prophetic issues with him not there to write and draw it?

I thought the same thing when Hiro was reduced to a child. I had recorded the episode and found myself fast forwarding through some of that. It was more than annoying. I think of him toward the end of season 1, when he was being taught by his father, and finally taking things seriously. Character evolution. Nice. Now, he's just a clown. They're ruining Hiro for me, on so many levels.

Not sure about the comic book. Maybe he was just an artist for the overall concept? Or, maybe he had a bunch of other issues already in the bag before he died. Not sure. We know they won't fill in that plot hole, so there's no reason to ponder on it. Bleh.

Claire didn't annoy the hell out of me this episode. Good.

Elle was awesome. Her and Sylar feel a little forced, but I'm willing to buy into it for now. I'm digging Sylar. He can now take powers in the same way Peter does?

Next week looks interesting. Everyone loses their powers. Mass chaos! I wonder if this means a reset for Hiro. God, I hope so. You would think after everything Hiro had been through with losing Charlie, his father and the whole Kensei deal, he wouldn't be so careless and immature. What is it going to take for him to wake up?

Right before he was killed, Isaac was shown putting the finished art pages for a comic into an envelope to mail to the publisher; those pages were for the issue of the comic that Hiro soon picked up that showed him stabbing Sylar with his sword though. At least, that's what I remember. But like you said, they won't actually deal with it; they probably don't even recognize the hole.

Elle was awesome.

I doubt it. Last week's episode made it be that erased memories were scars that could only return if they're healed, like Linderman did for Angela.

I only saw the first 10 mins or so far, but I gotta say... Kristen Bell, all hot 'n' bothered, and in chains... yum!

I liked the plot progression (Bummer that the show seems short every week, it's more enjoyable a few episodes at a time), but, I gotta agree on Hiro, he absolutely should be more "studly" and confident by now as Future Hiro was (Can't believe with all that he's already lost, and not changed, that losing Ando was the catalyst that finally broke the camel's back).

Elle and Sylar were great, as was Matt and Angela forming the opposing side.

Matt and Angela. Yes. That brings something back to the fore of my memory. Why did Papa Petrelli suddenly release her when she asked? (or rather demanded.) A power she's not yet shown? I have a hard time believing he had a moment of weakness.

Papa Petrelli is pretty arrogant. Seemed almost like he released her, so she could get on with mounting an offense against him, and he could quickly put down the opposition and move on. I get the impression, he thinks Angela's side doesn't have a chance of of even putting a ripple in his plans.

It feels like the show is getting better. I am enjoying the episodes again.

Interesting premise that the "heroes" have lost their powers. I somehow think there is a reset in the works: Hiro back to normal and Peter with his powers. Maybe it's more wishful thinking.

Elle and Sylar was pretty groovy, imho.

Claire finally "getting over it" with her dad was refreshing. She didn't annoy me in this episode.

Daphne's situation is just heartbreaking. That was definitely an "O Henry" moment when she walked out with her leg braces and crutches.

Peter and Nathan trying to get the Haitian's brother seems a bit eh. We'll see. I've always really liked the Haitian. Very fascinating character.

Anyway, the show is looking a lot better.

I really like the fact that they have gone back and given some explanation for the relevance of the eclipse (This was believed by viewers to be extremely important in S1, but it was never explained). Only problem is, why has this eclipse drained all the powers, and no one saw it coming? 2 eclipses in 3 years must surely mean the "Company" heads have seen eclipses come and go throughout their time having powers. There's a missing piece (I hope) that explains this seeming plot hole.

Gotta wonder also why Claire specifically is the catalyst? We've seen no difference between Claire and Adam, both are/were indestructible, and both have had their blood used to heal others even from death.

I definitely have been liking the show the last couple of weeks though.

I don't know what is special about Claire. Maybe Adam was also a catalyst and now that he's gone, Claire is the only one left.

I wish they would have done more with Adam. I enjoyed his character.

So did I understand this correctly- the Haitian and the evil fear guy (Marlo from the Wire), the leader of the level 5 crew, are brothers, and he's in Haiti for some reason? Huh? I feel like I missed something there...

Evil Fear Guy? Nah... The Haitian's brother is a new character, "his skin is impenetrable", I believe is how the Haitian described him. Evil Fear Guy looks a bit like Michael from LOST, I think.
